I'm rewatching The Original 7ven Formerly Known As The Time documentary DVD that came as an exclusive bonus disc with the Best Buy version of Condensate. What a great documentary!! Anybody who loves The Time and hasn't seen it should seek it out. It's a must watch!

I LOVE that documentary! I have watched it many times. I love the album Condensate too. I think it is their best work

Until last night, I had only watched it once, when it came out. I'll be sure not to wait 5 years before the next viewing.

It is an indepth documentary with all original members of "The Time" They speak honestly about what it was like to work under Prince, how they came to be a band, you hear great things but then you also hear each one speak from their own heart about some of the hurts and disappointments each one endured while working as a band but also working with and for Prince.

No need 4 an "Unsung" or "Behind The Music". The Documentary is AMAZING!!!!! I just wish We could have got a FULL TOUR from "Full-Time" aka The OG7ven aka The Time!!!! I also wish Prince would've been a contributor (of course They didn't NEED Him, but would've been......SO NICE!!!!) and given Them the name.

It was one of the reasons I bought the CD at Best Buy on the first weekend, and it was great. I think that Jerome put it together and it has so much new information. Very fun.

The album is great as well. It is up there with my favorite Time albums. In fact I was listening to the album just yesterday. So many great songs.

Check out the documentary. You'll enjoy hearing their side of the story.

I recently asked Jesse Johnson for permission to upload it on my own youtube channel but have not received clearance to do so. I suspect the reason could be that Prince orignally had all traces of it taken down from the internet and now that he has passed, there may be some issues with having to get clearance from Prince's family/estate before it can be legally uploaded. Another thought is maybe all members of The Time have to approve it. I'm not sure but I really do hope it becomes posted online at some point.

I wouldn't think Prince or the estate would have any say so about this documentary. None of the songs he wrote are in the film, which is disappointing, but should clear this from any need for permission.

Yes, if his songs weren't there Prince had no grounds to do anything about this.

true but since Jesse left the band in 2011. I'm not sure what the dynamics are as far as their own group and who has rights to what.
