babynoz	Thanks but this is in the wrong forum. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings career is not Prince related. There are lots of SJ fans in Music, Non Prince who would appreciate this thread though. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

scratchtasia	Well, they did perform together. And Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings covered "Take Me with U" for a Purple Rain tribute. And Prince did choose them to open some of his shows. Is that not enough of an association?

By that definition Beyonce threads belong here too. An associated artist is a protege or regular collaborator.

Someone who already had an established career independent of Prince have threads in Music Non Prince even if they worked with him at some point.

Prince has performed with countless people over the course of his career but they aren't all associated artists.
