Hm, I've seen a lot of stuff going on on my Facebook feed r/n, I'm only in 'The One and Only Mayte Garcia' fan group, she seems to be getting mostly positive support there. Whatever it is, it's unnacceptable. Someone mentioned she's pulled her book? What's this all about? o.o

It appears this woman, Sue Mller, will be going to jail and that the other 60 people who were part of this particular FB group where the threat was made are being investigated as potential accessories.

If you do see anything like this on Facebook or any other online venue (not just related to Mayte or Prince but any person), screen shot the post, block the threatening person and immediately report them to the police and to Facebook or whatever web based group you saw it on. Do not engage with the threatening person. These threats are illegal and cannot be tolerated. People think they can say anythng they want on social media now and no one wil find them. The law says otherwise. If you witness threats online and do not report, you could be considered an accessory.

We're living in very different times.

Due to the loss of Prince, hardcore fans can become unstable and take extreme measures to express their anger.

I wonder if other associates get as much hate as Mayte does but if I were her, I'd keep a low profile for her own safety especially considering there were prior incidents.

This insanity has been going on for a long time, but has only been exacerbated by the anonymity of the internet. I remember Ted Kennedy's son once telling a story of his dad shaking hands down a rope line, and Ted was stuck in the hand with some type of pin or syringe. Scary as you-know-what. No wonder celebrities have multiple guards - today it is much, much worse. I'll take the money, but the fame/notoriety? No, I'm good with the cash.
