"The Greatest Romance that's ever been Sold" ??? With her being Eve?

After losing their sister, his pasting meant losing a (large) portion of their sister that had survived. A portion that they felt could some how be provided or explained by him at some later date.

Knowing and fearing how she might have reacted, independently, both DeBorah and Patricia said to me, "Thank Goodness she pasted before he did." I knew what they meant.

Denise has written quite a bit about her feelings and their relationship... and as cryptic as this letter is, in some way it is saying more than she could have told me.

Make of it what what you will, It is what It is, this letter reads:

Ahh’m Still Always thinking these thoughts are Yours!

When Forever is perfect…

Being physical will Return to being nothing.

Being nothing shall return too feeling pleasure.

Feeling pleasure will then be something

and

Emotional Self will be all

… the mental self will be.

The way Ahh and you Denise feel will always be important.

Denise Yours

Ahh’m forever thinking in, Denise Your own way, You Denise

are forever thinking too.

Thinking of You Denise has made things easier for me!

Don't worry, you're not the only one. It's supposed to be a letter from Prince to Vanity/Denise. It reads like it's been through Google translate about 5 times. Perhaps Prince originally wrote it in Japanese? Oh dear. I hope the next installment makes more sense. Awaits

Denise saved everything...

She left me her storage which contained letters and pictures going back before World War II, scapebooks of her career going back to the 70's, Day Planners, Movie Contracts, Address and Phone Books, Years of IRS Reports, Years of banking, phone and medical records.

Also long winter coats (including Leather and Mink), 3 Pyramid shaped stereos, the first drafts and unedited copies of BIOV, unpublished screenplays, fanletters and lots and lots of her poetry (which she had made into posters).

For months I have not been able to bring myself to read more than a few pages, just basically enough to organize it in an order of importance to be read later.

I had hoped to share what I found interesting. That is, if there is an interest.

Thank you for sincerely sharing Denise's letters with us and pictures of the memorable things she left to you. Please forgive the attempted humor in trying to figure out the meaning of Prince's letter to Denise. Sometimes humor is the only thing that alleviates the sadness. Do you have any idea when the letter was written or the circumstances behind it? It's touching of you to want to let us experience these items that are items that mean so much to you.

There is definite interest. She did make such a mark in history; she probably did not know it.

Of course her time as an Evanglist and her relationship with Prince is of great interest especially since many thought Prince and Denise did not have a friendship after the 80s.

It is nice to know they remained friends throughout the decades especially after he was clearly emotional at the time of her death.

I honestly have no clue when the "Forever Letter" was written, but maybe in time I'll find the envelop or a reference to it and of when it was sent in a Datebook or some other writing of hers.

No worries about the humour, I too couldn't tell you exactly what it means.

I have an opinion, but I'm certain everyone else does also.

I believe Denise would prefer to have me sell anything and everything to the highest bidder, just to show off her worth. But, at the same time she knew me and knew I wouldn't, and knew where it would be most valued; Treasured.
