Nah , I can see it from both sides. From Mayte's side, that this man was important to her and this is part of her life and her history too. And from the other side, which is that they divorced 16 years ago and that she should have let go by now.

Although in all fairness, it did seem pretty clear from the Hollywood Exes thing, that she had never really gotten over Prince in all those years. SO it's not like she's latching on to something that she had let go of previously. No she never got over him, and now that he's passed, she's been sucked into the vortex of Prince world again.

And like 25 years before, the first time around, no common sense will stop her (well back then it was her parents who should have stopped her) from gravitating toward the purple light. She cannot help herself, I guess. Even though it would be better/healthier for her (and her daughter) to close this chapter and move on.

WTF is she doing!? I always have the feeling, that Mayte was not in love with Prince, she was in love in the life which she had thru him. After the devorse, she mourns about her past luxury life, not about Prince. If she would so sill in love with him and be so sad about his death , than she would never take such pictures (it's doesn't matter how old this photos are. Those photos should never be in public!) and would not write a book about her life with him. She knows that he would not happy about that. He would be angry, and that would be right.

Well, that's my personal opinion.

It doesn't matter how long ago it was. These pictures are a testimony of disrespect for Prince ever since he left her. Alive or not, you don't go out on social media advertising your ex's underwear let alone trying to sell it when you supposedly loved him all your life.

She's invited to everything because she was MARRIED to him, they had CHILDREN together and has a connection with P's family and other associates/band members. People change and what has Mayte done to deserve some of these hateful, vicious comments? P and Mayte at one time loved each other yes, it was a long time ago, but that doesnt negate that it happened. Wish some could find it in their hearts to show some kindness towards her since the negative and nast comments really reflect and speaks volumes on the people that wrote them not on Mayte.
