Weird if it did and unnecessary. Misconceptions about people's motives (if there were any) could be corrected through further discussion.

Some people (including Prince in the past) take a beating on this site. Not sure what was said that was so bad about her that couldn't have been corrected or just locked. Deleting it seems a bit much.

Being new here, I haven't quite figured out why some threads get deleted or locked. I understand the dupe threads, but like the thread on Tamar Davis. Wonder why it was locked?

And I can NOT figure out the self locking threads....??

I guess if they get too repetitive?

that being said, I actually wanted to kind of apologize to Susannah. For one thing, I am not entirely sure how intellectual property laws work. For another thing, she did say on facebook that she was invited back to sell her shirts again (the date probably wasn't her idea) and lastly, she did admit on facebook that she wrote Starfish and Coffee with Prince (so obviously she is not taking full credit.)

I still think she should share what would have been Prince's proceeds with a charity but that is just nickpicking. I do also wish that there could have just been one celebration of Prince with every era's artists involved and that 80's artists he worked with (as well as Questlove) would branch off into non-80's Prince work when they are doing tributes to him..

In my frustration over that and the fact I have been feeling protective of Prince (probably unnecessarily-- considering the powerful lawyers already doing so), I probably took it out on her. I guess something about 80's members being in town but not doing his official public memorial rubbed me the wrong way. But then again, I don't know why they weren't there.

I guess this man dying alone in a elevator from a drug overdose as a result of a drug addiction no one admits to knowing anything about has made me bitter and distrustful of some of his associates..(perhaps unfairly but without clarification, it is hard to not point fingers.) Yes, I know Prince did this to himself but it feels like he was enabled by at least a few.).

I totally agree with the overdose part. Myself, I'm getting kind of irritated at all the theories going on. He wasn't murdered by WB, he didn't commit suicide, and he wasn't poisoned.

I don't buy the conspiracies but I do believe that there has not been justice for Prince or closure for fans yet--because no one has explained how this drug addiction could be such a private battle. Its like people are saying that Prince was superhuman (able to take strong pain pills but dupe everyone at the same time) until one week he turned into a mere mortal and died. No one is being exposed as the indifferent enablers that they were because of this BS lie.

Where was the intervention prior to that doctor in MN? I don't care how secretive Prince was. He had several employees and assistants.. I want to believe most of them didn't know..but I know in my heart that at least half a dozen of them probably did and I don't see any indication prior to that week in April that they were doing much to help him. Enablers should be scrutinized and called out for what they are. God, if one person would come forward and say "I am sorry I was too chicken shit and enamored by prince to actually step up and throw out a bottle of his pills", I wouldn't be soo bitter. Its the Memphis Mafia all over again.

Also, I am tried of 80's band members discrediting any of his work that proceeded them and then everyone turning to them as authorities on Prince. (Toure...ugh). The sum and substance of a man's life and career can be determined from one decade?...BULLSHIT>\
