There seems to be a few threads started just for entertainment fonder so folks can sit back and watch the hairballs fly, especially concerning the exes. Whatever floats peoples boat, I guess.

There is nothing ugly about that ring. Ya'll would be thrilled to get such a ring and you know it. People just expect a freaking doorknob from someone of Prince's prominence. The average person can't afford such luxury.

If you're just in it for the size of the ring, then you're in it for the wrong reason.

I was watching the auction online. She did not pull the items. This along with 95% of the other items did not sell. Once the auction time closed=all the items that did not sell appeared as "pulled". It would not surprise me if P. didn't annonymously buy the lot at a cheaper rate after the live auction closed (which is common) to dispose of them. Particularly something as personal as the handwritten notes. The entire debacle was trashy. He made a snide subtweet about it on Twitter at the time. Of course, the historical reality does not fit with the fantasy that the widow Garcia continues to sell. Hopefully, she can take the couple of grand she made from the scarves, cup & saucer, & worn out peeling rhinestone handcuffs she sold and get some counseling or at least a better looking ring because that ring was so damn fug Im sure Pimp Mama Garcia had 2 B in on pickin' that out.

Back then yellow gold was still popular. People with medium to dark skin tones found it more flattering and white gold could be mistaken for the much less expensive silver. I don't think it was until Platinum became known and respected as an even more expensive metal than gold did white gold start appealing to more people.

The swirls of that ring are so very 1970's, and 80's and those are Prince's aesthetics. I am sure she received compliments on that ring ALL of the time "back in the day".

i read a while back earlier this year that she was selling things in order to move on from her life shared with prince. i think that's healthy, if she needs to then she should. just my 2c

That's his style. Mani's ring was similar to Mayte's being a gold and bold and diamond bypass setting with a round center stone. That means he & I would've fought over a princess cut solitaire with a dainty 1 millimeter gold band. lol
