INGRID CHAVEZ?

Who liked her Paisley Park release?

I do like her cd and I still have it. I like to listen to it while I'm driving and I want to relax. I just liked Ingrid altogether, and she seemed like a sweet, gentle soul in person too.

Very nice.

There was this teletext service on Channel 4 in England and they used to review albums every week. The guy who did the reviews was quite knowledgable and when he reviewed Ingrids album he said it could be the best album of the year. Interesting huh?

i loves ingrid's PP debut. very cool tunes, different even for paisley park...hippy blood shoulda-been-a-monsta!!
at the time, i wrote to her to tell her that i really dig what she's doing, and she sent me an autographed picture and a nice hand-written note! so sweet.
i guess she's married to david sylvian now (ex-japan) and is on a couple of his albums. her picture is on his latest one, by the way.

The new trax (currently) available are extra songs on a couple of the last David Sylvian CD singles - and very good they are 2. INGRID! UR MISSED - HURRY UP WIT DAT ALBUM! WE NEED U RIGHT NOW... angel
A fair proportion of David's 'Dead Bees On A Cake' album (I dare anyone 2 listen 2 the closing track: 'Darkest Dreaming' and not be moved by the way!) were originally intended as tracks 4 Ingrid's 2nd album, buut they ended up being re-worked and re-tooled 4 D.B.O.A.C.
Hopefully, something wil turn up soon. In the meantime, check the album out (on the limited edition 'Godman' CD single, there was a longform promtional video called: 'Time Spent' filmed by David & Ingrid - and featuring them, and their beautiful kids. It features naration also by both. They really make a perfect pair, and this is reflected in their art.

When in Minneapolis in 1991, I (literally!) bumped in2 her in GlaM SlaM - she was so beautiful, and really nice. Very down-2-earth. hug

Check out that David Sylivian album!!! heart

I met her at an awards ceremony in MN in 1991. I spoke to her breifly about Graffiti Bridge. Her friends were pulling her away and my friends were sort of limiting my interaction at the time. However, I think we both wanted to continue chatting and just were not able to. The ceramony had started and everyone had to take their seats. She really had a gentle spirit about her and was genuinely sweet. It really did show through.

i have got to say it was one of the most wonderful cd's i have ever owned, Prince has really put out some vibes, with all the artist he has had an influence on, even Carmen electra(don't twist your face like that). Lisa&wendy, love their stuff, the Family should have doe more, Sheila E kicks much booty. But my girl Ingrid, now that is a SWEET SONGBIRD. she has such a lovely voice. such seduction.

a definate keeper if you have it, if not get a copy
