Valente, Warfield, Allo and Hill Prince's collaborations at the end of his life were probably some of his best in his entire career. Bria, Liv, Andy and Judith had exceptional albums which represents some of the best protege projects that he has ever done. Allo's album is amomgst my all time favorites. It is like she is the female version of Prince om that album. The others are also stellar.

It is just more evidence that he was making some of his best music at the end of his life. That is what makes him special. No one else can claim that some 40 years in the game. [Edited 8/19/16 8:49am]

I think Andy is weak. Have nothing good to say about Judith but the other 2 are cool.

I'm the opposite — I loved Andy's album and Judith's album. Not a Bria or Liv fan. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

I disagree and prefer his collaborations with Jill Jones, Sheila E. and the two Mavis Staples albums he produced.

he didn't write or play on liv's album though, beyond one song that he wrote, right? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

i think andy and judith have solid albums, start to finish. a couple of fillers on each but otherwise good. B for both === liv and bria's albums are patchy. but not bad. C for both Prince #MUSICIANICONLEGEND

Andy has a lovely voice, just wish she'd do more with it because it gets boring. Bria is okay but I would rank Liv and Judith above them. As far as albums go, I disn't like any of the albums from Prince proteges except Sheila E.'s. Love is God,

1. Superconductor, I bought this album out of loyalty, but ended up up loving it. It was my go to album during the Prince Album hiatus from 2010-2014. Nothing More, People Pleaser, Yellow Gold, excellent. I think it showed to me that Prince was taking his production very seriously. 2. Liv - Powerful and got on itunes and on CD at her Paris Shows. 3. Bria - This is my guilty pleasure, I actually like it. I think it is well produced and I can really imagine Prince singing a lot of the songs. He did so live on occassions.
Judith, I tried on Tidal, but I want to have a CD so I really don't feel I can rate it until I give it the attention needed to form a proper opinion.
Going back to Andy, she really surprised me because 1: I love the CD and realised it wasn't a tacky Prodigy album, but from an excellent artistw ith great songs. 2: She came to Paris and played a 2.5hour show that was out of the world. She was prepared to go her own way, and leave the NPG nest also. She showed great courage to take this path. After the concert I bought her Unfresh album and regretted not discovering it before. You should really check it out. She definitely learned off Prince and you could see that on stage. Liv in Concert was powerful and had a really top notch band also.

I really like Andy's album, especially the acoustic type tracks. I love her voice and also her contributions to songs like Time, their voices sound great together. . Judith's album is quite strong with great musicianship and I like P's cameos. . Bria's album has 1 or 2 highlights like Elixer and some nice laid back grooves but I don't listen to it often. . Couldn't really get into Liv's album. Not a big fan of her voice for some reason.

Bria Valente's voice is my favorite.

I'd leave Bria out, but otherwise I agree. Andy's album was my favorite of the bunch, despite her voice not being the strongest. I really appreciated that in the last several years, Prince worked with and/or championed genuinely talented women - Janelle, Liv, Shelby, Andy, Judith, Esperanza, Misty, etc.

Judith and Andy probably. I attended a Liv concert at PP. She was great, very strong. No desire to get her record but live she was very good. Bria has a nice voice but she bores me. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

He sure picked great potential. In order of preference while aprpeciating them all, I'd start with Judith Hill and then Liv Warfield. I find their voice very soulful and powerful. Bria Valente has a soothing and welcoming voice. Andy Allo is good but more average to me. It is cool however that she can play other instruments though. This is my normal life. These marital standards cannot be recreated with money.

There seemed to be a real chemistry/closeness between Prince and Andy for a while... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Obviously Andy Allo, and also Judith Hill. Superconductor is a little gem imo and Back in time is a real musician's album. Bria was filler and Liv Warfield while she has a great voice, it somehow didn't click with me. ...every night another symphony...
