Mayte lookin's mighty fine in the kitchen .

I think it's great that they are good friends and look so happy but what I don't get is why did they just get close after Prince's passing, before his death Mayte was never seen or around Prince's people and now all of a sudden she's hanging out with and getting all close with Prince's family, I have a feeling that if Prince were still alive this would not be happening I don't think him and Mayte were on good terms but again I'm not sure.

It is great to see her happy just hope she is not using his death to gain attention or to get in the lime light becasue I really like Mayte.

Getting together makes people stronger and happier, it is a very healthy thing to do especially after a such a tragic loss and it's beautiful to watch how different kinds of new friendships have flourished since Prince's passing. I agree with you all like I said I've always liked Mayte and you can truly seet that she has never gotten over Prince, I know ppl say Vanity was his ture love but I really feel that Mayte was the love of his life.

I agree with you but life is for the living. Prince's agenda was almost always primarily about macking on the next chick anyway.

It really warmed my heart to see photos of them hitting it off. Really cool of them to include Mayte in the tribute. I feel like there were painful memories that led Prince to keep Mayte at a distance, so now she can find some healing by being embraced by his friends. What if Mayte and Vanity are both Priince's soulmate, since theres 2 people inside Prince?

I agree with you. If Prince were still alive they wouldn't be caught photographed with her. It's a shame they didn't publically embrace her when he was alive. IMO that's being fake.

I have always said i felt sorry for her, she reminds me of Priscilla Presley in a way, in that she was a teenager, given over by her parents to a controlling middle aged rock star who groomed her and took her over completely and in my opinion stunted the girls growth and development...both emotionally and mentally.

Neither girl really had any business in that world, (even the belly dancing teenager) with that said she was not only his ex-wife but she was a performer in his band and a feature player as well. Her and Prince were married and divorced a very loooooong time ago, was in her teens when they met and now she's a woman in her mid 40's------thats another life time ago! She's a completely different person now then she was back then, when she was part of Prince's harem.

She's now a grown woman and mother of a beautiful child, i just hope she heals and moves on..she deserves REAL unconditional love, we all do

I do appreciate Mayte opening Prince to the Arab world. That Middle-Eastern touch in his music, wardrobe, and accesories spreads the message to be more open to the Arab world which is much needed considering the issues occuring in the world nowadays. Just my opinion.

yeah i've never got "fake" vibe from her at all. she's always seemed very genuine and down to earth to me even on that reality show. [Edited 7/9/16 15:00pm]

I am so glad she got a 2nd chance at motherhood and was able to adopt little Gia..she posted they share a birthday too

The more i watch her cooking spots with her mom the more i like her....i love to cook too

i feel like prince helped me to look behind the news to the real middle east. thankful.
