Carmen Electra's Album

Was reading this forum the other day and noticed that when speaking Carmen... the album is not mentioned. So I went home last night and put this on. I think it is very good, for the time it was done I think it differs from the material Prince was putting out himself and that Carmen's 'rapping' style works really well. I am not sure how much was Prince's input (I dont have the sleeve my friend taped this for me back in the day!). The tunes Good Judy Girlfriend and step to the mike have really nice musical touches... I was also watching the live Paisley performance of The Ryde Divine where she performed Get on Up and was surprised at what a dancer she is, why did she give upon this aspect of her career? I mean she is so beautiful etc so I can understand why she would make money that way, but to give up the otherside completly seems a shame. What do you think? do my ears need cleaning. I put the wrong icon on this post lol

Carmen's album isn't the disaster that many make it out to be,but it's no masterpiece either.Carmen can't rap her way out of a paper bag,and since she's no singer either, she doesn't really have too much to do here. So,it's up to Prince and the NPG to save the day.The MUSIC on this album is slammin'.Otherwise forgettable songs like "Everybody Get On Up" and "Good Judy Girlfriend" are saved by the awesome music, courtesy of Prince and the NPG.

The best track is the haunting,techno-flavored "Fantasia Erotica" which should have at least been a huge club hit.

Do you really think Carmen is that bad? I thought she was OK, completely agree about the music though..what was going on there? I think some of those tunes should defo have been on a P album. The flavour is quite different tho..

Is this an april fools joke? That album is garbage except for "Get On Up." And even that was hard for me to like because of how attached I was to the original version.

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another
