Maceo Parker is ready to ...n the funk

"Prince was such a sweetheart and very, very talented man," Parker says. "I couldn't even say his name for weeks after he passed. I don't know if I've done it until now. I wouldn't trade my time with him for anything. While he was alive, he was private, and so I wish to carry that over since his passing. I'll just say a little about him. I can't think of anybody that could sing as low and as high as he could, and he didn't even think twice about it. That and the dancing, guitar playing, the drums. He was a genius." The two could burn things down with the old funk workout "Pass the Peas," which Parker may try to play as a tribute.

That should be a great show. If seeing him is important, don't miss it. He's 73 now. I recently heard him sing "Georgia (On My Mind)" and I was blown away!!
