I always thought that meant to not make marks on your body with the words: I am the Lord. Instead of to not make marks on your body at all. [Edited 5/21/16 16:43pm]

To add on a bit, avajane, the Bible is taken, incorrectly, very literally sometimes. I am not hoping to spark a religious debate, so I won't go into a sermon. As I have aged, though, it is dumbfounding to me that with hardly any personal research, people site these "Christian rules"; and they are many times completely off base.

I think that scripture is in reference to people who worship the dead or some type of idol worship.

true. don't think christ ever said anything about tattoos. i think that passage applied particularly to the ancient israelites, anyway. in the christian religion, i don't think it's that important as long as you believe jesus is the son of god. but i'm not a christian, so what do i know...

as far as prince tattoos..? i intend to get my own before the new year!

But I am not 100% convinced on that aspect of their relationship as of right now. I don't even know when last they spoke..none of us do....

I was referring to it being nice that Mayte and Sheila E are friends. IMHO it doesnt matter if Prince had contact with any woman from his past. I personally don't see anything wrong with any one of them getting a tattoo or doing something else to honor the presence he had in their lives. The family may have indeed requested that she be the media point person as she is better seasoned to deal with some of the more business, musical and personal questions than they would be.

They are people who have almost never dealt with the rabid dog media in all their lives.
