YOU tell me what makes him qualified. I can't think of anything other than maybe because some blindly look up to white people as authority figures and we have seen. He certainly sucked as a manager for Prinve and Paisley Park. He came in took a legend and the zenith of his career and under his tenure just stood around and did nothing to keep the momentum going even whole Prince was still releasing his greatest work. He certainly failed if we compare Prince's carter and management trajectory before and after Alan. So you tell me, what makes a nobody who could not manage the most talented artist of his generation or the lable he also supposedly ran. Incompetent is the only word for it. And white privelage is all I can think of as to why some foolishly blindly fawn over him. |

revolving exhibits will give people a reason to continue to go to Paisely not just to see Prince but to experience where he created his music and to HEAR HIM THE WAY HE WANTED US TO.
The music should be heard THERE, as part of his surroundings.. along with supporting video/movie projects etc etc and any other content available....there could be lectures, symposiums think tank dsicussions as well as events held to fund music education either through an endowment created from revenues or eventually create a music school on site.
I see the vault as the beginning of a museum and cultural center that brings the world to Minneapolis.
I dont want posthumous albums or to hear Princes music in commercials - he is the Mozart of our generation and his cultural impact can have far greater significance for the development of future musicans and artists and he goes way beyond a mere commercial entity, imo.
Princes life is about the study, mastery and innovation of music, and should be treated that way 
all good points...but there still needs to be 4/21 and 6/7 releases to keep it alive .. |
