Andre Cymone's Protest Piece: "Hot Night in the Neighborhood" Andre Cymone: I wrote this song because I believe we are headed in the wrong direction, we are going back to a place, a dark place we have already been, to fight battles many good men and woman have already sacrificed and gave their life in order to make things better for blacks and better for the future of this country. The path to justice is through peace, love and understanding. We all, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, Muslims, all of us have a responsibility to stand up and speak out for injustice no matter who is responsible. We are at a moment in time where we have young people active and engaged, they are demanding justice through peaceful protest and they will not be ignored. We cannot afford to let this moment and this movement slip away from us. #Blacklivesmatter

As a song, it's not bad but I wish he'd get back to doing stuff like Lipstick Lover and Dance Electric.
