How is this a bad thing?

Spike Leed can throw tribute parties but Sheila E can't? 2017 Feb is good enough amount of time to do this... I don't see the problem.

Would it be ok if it was 2020?

Sounds fine to me. Only thing is, why the MJ tribute also? Weird.

Sheila announced this Glamorous Life cruise well before Prince passed away. She's now adding a musical tribute to Prince. Isn't that a good thing? I mean, she DID actually know him quite well. I don't understand why some people are jumping all over her for things, like anybody here actually even knows her personally. People sitting here saying things like, "She hasn't talked to Prince in years," or "they fell out ages ago because of this or that..." I mean, are these people friends with her? Her family? Did she personally tell you how she felt towards Prince or the last time they spoke or ANYTHING???

It seems most people would be happy if no one did anything. I swear that must be it. It seems anyone who worked with Prince 1980-1987 is evil selfish self serving money grabbers if they even mention singing a song... and most likely the songs they actually recorded (co-wrote) helped to make famous with Prince. DAngelo & Princess can sing Somethings It Snows In April and song Prince co-wrote with Wendy & Lisa Coleman but they better not do the song themselves or they'll hear about it.

People doing tribute parties everywhere, but those people better not mention it. And what are they gathering for, just because Prince died doesn't mean they need to mourn together...I swear some of the muckiest things are coming out of people right now.

Well one difference for sure is that I prefer Wendy and Lisa as songwriters to Sheila E.
