Say what? I currently live in Pittsburgh and heard advertised on the radio yesterday that Sheila E. is coming to town--but the entire radio spot was Prince centered. They kept saying "tickets on sale tomorrow for the First Lady of Paisley Park" and talking about how she collaborated with Prince and then at the very end it said "this show will be dedicated to Prince with a very special guest." What is she up to? | |

I don't know what's she up to either. I used to like/respect her, but not so sure anymore. She put this on her f.b. page a couple weeks ago. I have no idea what it is tho.

WTF? When the radio spot for her show was playing I couldn't tell if it was going to be some massive Prince tribute or if Paisley Park and his name were being shamelessly inserted to drive ticket sales. | |

Yeah, I knew that, and knew she photoshopped the revelant movie image I just don't get why she needed to add her book title, names, etc. on the bottom, like it was a real movie. I'm dumb enough that I actually searched for show times. Eventually every cloud runs out of rain. | |

That being said I thought her comments were stupid. I think Shelia E is feeling some guilt about something. I'm amused that the last I heard from her before he died is that she'd never work with him again and now she is the First Lady of Paisley Park. I also can't imagine how some of these women feel or will feel if it is revealed he had other children he maybe knew of but kept secret. Surprise, surprise.

I feel like she's trying to capitalize on her association with him..because truth be told..before he died. When's the last time you thought about her in any way? Right now I can't even deal with this.. just found out my friend died last night leaving behind a week old baby girl and a 6 year old son.. I feel like death is suffocating me... everywhere I turn there it is.... | |

No disrespect to Sheila but she has definitely aged, she is not as attractive anymore, I am not saying she is ugly buuuuut just saying that out of all of the women Prince had, she was always the lesser attractive, I mean give me a break! not sure whats up here but sheila has always been one of my fave prince associates. and because chaka and larry are involved, i think it will be ok. prince seemed be close to chaka and we know he was with larry. so if prince trusted them, and they trust sheila, i 'm good. I searched the phrase and couldn't find it anywhere else except on her Facebook page. When she posted about being so offended by the "relevant" comment, several people commented and told her not to listen to anyone because she is the "First Lady." So either the marketers stole it from her fans or she liked it and started using it herself. | |
