What if the Revolution was the Time? And vice versa. What if things were a little bit different back in the day. Lets say Prince's backing band were the members of the Time, instead of the Revolution? How would history have been different? Do Wendy & Lisa get fired for taking an outside production gig? Would Terry & Jimmy have input on records like Wendy & Lisa?
He'd still have a production and writing duo to bounce ideas off of. But instead of Wendy & Lisa, it's Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Jesse Johnson is here in place of Brown Mark. Monte Moir in place of Doctor Fink. Bobby Z is gone, and in comes Jellybean Johnson.
So, Prince & the Revolution now consist of: Prince as leader Jesse Johnson on guitar Terry Lewis on bass Jimmy Jam on keyboards Monte Moir on keyboards and piano Jellybean Johnson on drums
And meanwhile, the Time still features Morris Day as lead singer and Jerome as his sidekick.
The Time Morris Day as lead vocalist Wendy Melvoin on guitar Brown Mark on bass Lisa Coleman on keyboards and piano Doctor Fink on keyboards Bobby Z on drums Jerome Benton as valet, percussion PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

FUNKYNESS |
WHAT?
Too simple to entertain: then the Time would be a group of overrated sidemen and the Revolution would be one of the tightest funk bands of all time. Save America - Stop Illegal Immigration. God bless America. PEACE |

The Time would have more diverse song subjects.
