Whatever the reason or reasons were, it’s clear that she still had love for him. So did Mayte and all of his other ex’s. Not one woman has come out of the woodwork to say what a horrible person he was or that he treated her poorly. At least, not that I have heard or read about. It days a lot about who Prince was as a person. Marriages and relationships end every day, but how often do you hear so many ex-lovers have nothing but good things to say?




it seems clear that despite whatever happened, his good heart was respected by all who knew him. that is a nice legacy to leave.

I always felt that the two versions of that song bookended their relationship. The Chocolate Invasion version was the beginning - tender, tentative, afraid of the pain of it not working out. The 3121 version was the end - passionate, hurt, and very, very angry.

not having really followed mani, was she a devout jw? if yes then i see your point. if she was not, then she could have filed for civil divorce for any reason, and him not choosing to fight it might have been his way of accepting it, whatever the reason for her choice.
