She was horribly abused as a child. Her mom beat the crap out of her regulary. Why she's making her mom a saint now, I'll never know. And yeah, it seems to have pushed her to insanity. BUT. It's no one's fault she chose to have FOUR kids, and then abandon them. Shane is in foster care. She 's an iternational super star, for God's sake. I have baggage from my childhood, and guess what, I don't take it out on my kids, and make them take care of me. I take care of THEM, ask nothing in return, and I go see an adult, whom I pay, to work through my personal crap. That she has villified her own eldest son, and schlepped of her maternal obligations onto him, is just fucked to the maxx. Like, what EVER. You don't blame you kids for your own suffering, however vaild the suffering may be. Its just gross.
