The first (and only) time I saw Dave Chappelle live was in 1995 at Paisley Park. It was a video taping and Nona Gaye was there as well as Dave (who was not well known at the time but I remember he was funny as hell!) Anyhow he is doing ten shows in five nights coming up. May31-June 2 at First Ave and then June 3-4 at the State Theater. 7:00 and 10:00 PM shows each night. I just scored second row for the 10:00 PM show on June 4. I guess last time he was in town a few years back he invited the crowd to a celebrity basketball game after one of the gigs and Prince was there.
