Nice.

Im sure they will have plenty of special guest performers and vocalists to assist in this endeavor. I will attend if/when they come to Chicago.

(Insert something clever here)

I like the idea of this. I was not a fan of the idea of Prince & The Revolution reforming (I was lucky enough to see them first time round, don't ned a rehash) but I'd be up for a celebration, family jam kind of thing.

Pointless without Prince. The more i am hearing, the more you can see why Prince was so strict with his music and image. It all seems to be a free for all.

It's a great idea.I guess it will be billed as some type of "tribute show"?

of course they are great musicians, and I'm sure it will be fun for some. It all seems abit too soon for me. And you know that they will probably carry on doing shows. Which would be against his wishes.

You obviously didn't get on the train with that recent tribute show from Amsterdam that was livestreamed. It was beautiful and funky. The Revolution playing, with various purple family vocalists taking lead, would be amazing.

Play at the reunion concert, then pack it in Revolution. There is no point.

Can people perhaps keep their contrary thoughts about this to themselves?

They have every right to honour Prince and their legacy, but their timing is shite.

I think this is great news. I doubt they'll be playing anywhere near me, so I'll not get to actually go, but I look forward to it all happening. I really like the clip of them playing Mountains and America in 2003ish.

This is very exciting to me. A group of people who shared great love and artistry playing music for the fans. I don't understand how anyone could find anything negative in this...

Absolutely.
This one isn't about 'great performance' or whatever,

It's about LOVE !

-

SHOW SOME LOVE PEOPLE, to the ones who helped him being the one we love so much.

-

Thrilling news axtually.

I'm sorry sad

it's indeed much too soon

I had the same thing with the Jacksons doing a world tour without Michael. I'm also a MJ fan and I liked the Jacksons, but without MJ it seemed so pointless.

this is the second time I had to experience this (losing one of my musical heroes). I'm also an elvis fan, so every one of my idols is dead now

Does anybody know who the people at the beginning of that video were? They looked kind of familiar but I couldn't place them, maybe I'm just being dense idk.

"Nothing" might be a little strong, but I'd agree, I won't be moving oceans to get to these shows.

I agree. Wow. Can't believe how many people are thrilled about this. The timing is practically morbid.

I would be more supportive if they did a big, extended Prince-Fam-Jam tour and donated 50% of proceeds to music education or something.

Otherwise, timing is awful and seems like a slimey way to make money on a death that isn't even a week old. Brutal.

I agree with another Orger....it's like a free-for-all out there.....he wouldn't want that.

As frustrating as it was for fans, he was protective of his music and copyright and it's sad that it's just a feeding frenzy so soon.
