I do believe they were on to him. Wasn't he married to Mani at the time of this song/video? Many of these songs are painful and angry, they had to have known the songs weren't about them since he was with them at the time.

Yeah I would have to agree - she was thread throughout so much of the music he wrote and performed for his entire life - almost 30 years after they were a couple, he was still referencing and singing to her through his music. That is a one-of-a-kind-love for sure!! Reminds me of the Cole Porter tune "Got You Under My Skin!" I said it earlier in this thread, the truth of it is that Prince and Vanity never really got over each other, they were never able to match the depth of love or passion they shared with each other.

Yes and he did put a pretty good show and of how to turn it on when he needed to - and he had an awful lot of practice doing it everytime he got on stage. That Oprah video with Mayte springs to mind where they look like they're so in love.
