Jill Jones 1987 album...and bonus tracks? Hey all!
So about a decade ago someone I met on myspace (lol) sent me a burnt disc labeled "Jill Jones" and told me it was her 1987 self titled album. He didnt send a track listing, so I would just look it up. All articles etc I've seen list the album as 9 tracks long. This cd I have is 14 tracks long (it's worth noting that track 1 and 2 on the official release, the Intor and Mia Bocca, are on one track instead of two). I literally never listened past track 7 on my cd (My Man) until very recently and I am desperatley trying to find out what these other tracks are. One or two sound like remixes of tracks on the album maybe but I have found no real way to get the titles/history of these mystery tracks. I've looked for full discography of her recordings, and i havent found anything that can point me in the right direction, so I come to you all!
I hope someone out there can help me! Thanks "WE ARE HERE, WHERE ARE YOU??!?!?!?"

I'd need some lyrics to know for sure, but back in the day when I made a cassette of Jill Jones debut album, I added the following bonus tracks to the end: 77 Bleeker St. (Extended Version) (Mia Bocca B-side) G-Spot (Remix) Baby Cries (Ay Yah) (Extended Version) (G-Spot B-side) For Love (4-Play Remix) You Do Me (Ryuichi Sakamoto featuring Jill Jones) (1990)

Just having the names of songs to look at helped tremendously! THANK YOU. so, went back for a listen:
* track "9" is 77 Bleeker street for sure *track "10" is Baby cries (ay yah) for sure *track "11" is Mia bocca extended for sure *track "12" has lyrics that go "ooh, i like it, baby baby baby, ooh i like it *yell*/my baby knows how to love me, my baby kno-ows" (so maybe My Baby Knows? which sounds like it may have turned into 'Baby Knows') *track "13" has lyrics that go "im only flesh and blood, im only flesh and blood, i will do whats neccesary when ?loves? revolutionary" (so im guessing the name of it is flesh and blood lol) *track "14" has lyrics that go "cant you feel the pumpin baby, boom boom pumpin baby, cant you feel the beat of my heart...come a little closer baby, put your hand on my chest/feel the beat of my heart pumpin through my dress...cant you feel the beat of my heart, boom boom" (aaaand I'm guessing this is called 'Boom Boom' lololol)

I love Jill. The only protege who gave Prince a run for his money as far as vocals... "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

Well it is about time that Jill got some recognition! Since his death there has been very little about Jill. I know that she posted some things on her facebook page in the past, concerning Prince, that were not all hearts and flowers. Still, she was with him for a long time and during the years that many consider his best years. She appeared in two movies and was a muse. She also had musical talent of her own. I think she lacked that xfactor that makes a person a star, but she was not only talented but beautiful. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.
