Larry G. *Okay..I've been into Prince for a year now, and I know pretty much everything there is to know about the lil man..But why does everyone poke fun at Larry Grahm? I don't really know who he is, other than he "changed" Prince or something, how did P get involved with him anyhow? To answer why people poke fun at larry:

I think you should get yourself familiar with Larry G. musicially and his history in soul/r&b before worrying about his personal relationship with Prince. | |

Simply stated, Larry Graham has been to the bass what Hendrix was to the guitar in some ways. He invented a playing technique that most every rock bassist uses - and every funk player rips off. He was a integral part of one of the most imortant bands in history - Sly and the Family Stone. He is in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame as a part of that great band. Respect is due. Get in the history books and learn something about a time when pop music had value and substance. | |

He is a Great Musical Talent not only tight on Bass,but also Guitar&Keys.the Cat is very Versatile back in the day.He is one of those Cats that on Bass alone belongs to that Group of:James Jamerson,Charles Mingus,Jaco,Stanley Clarke of a Select Group that truly turned the Bass out&Paved the way. mistermaxxx | |
