I'm trying my best to find one and I NEED one bad. Does anyone know where I can buy a real one? At a decent price or at least something not rediculously high? Please help, I'm dying for one!

I've looked at Amazon, amazon UK, ebay, ebay UK to no result.

I saw a Japanese version on ebay a few years ago...I stopped "watching" when it reached $400

I have ORIGINAL Vanity 6 & Jill JonesCDs, but NEVER got Mazarati, The Family or Apollonia 6 CDs

Just grab a copy on vinyl, you can get a cd rip from a torrent. It's not worth the amount it goes for, no way in hell.

I have Jill Jones (US version!) and The Family (German version), but my Vanity/Apollonia 6 CDs are knockoffs....

If Warner Bros released the Apollonia 6 on CD, sales would be through the roof! Loads of people are wanting it. They should put Manic Monday on there as a bonus track.

I have no idea, they must have a consumer service email on their website maybe?

There may be legal complications and implications as well. I know a few years back WB France wanted to rerelease the Time albums in a boxset and the legal department of WB US forbade this without explaination. I know WB owns the masters and therefore should be able to do whatever with them, however I'm pretty sure Prince plans to try and get them back (probably already has when negociuating the masters in 2014), I don't know what else. The Time CD's were in print for a long time (might still be) and are on iTunes, same with Sheila's first 2 albums, so whatever the legal situation with those, the same should be for the 6's. Maybe WB just don't care.

Don't waste your time. I spent years doing that with various labels, including WB, to no avail. My wishes did not start to come to fruition until Funkytown Grooves and Big Break Records came along. I don't know what's going on over at Funkytown but Big Break has been releasing several Warner Brothers titles recently so, at this point, they are our only hope for an Apollonia 6 reissue. But, if Prince owns the masters, then that won't be happening. If Prince doesn't own the masters, I'm pretty positive that BBR already has a license request in at WB to reissue that title.

He doesn't as of now, this is pretty certain.

Good luck. You'd be better off picking up a nice condition vinyl copy and then guilt-free downloading the CD rip in lossless.

It's frustrating for sure to think what we could have by now - all the main protege/Paisley Park acts reissued with all the b-sides, 12" mixes and 7" edits etc. I mean, some of the BBR/Funkytown/Cherrypop releases are pretty expansive for artists just as niche as Prince-related acts. For example I have the Sinitta 2CD reissues, 2 fucking CDs EACH for Sinittas first two albums. Mandy Smith gets her album reissued, La Toya Jackson gets her albums reissued - and we get NOTHING for anything to do with Prince what so ever. This is worse for world peace than ISIS and Donald Trump put together.

I found one in a ghetto record store in Portsmouth, VA for $25 back int he early 80s. Authentic japanese import. They had it on a featured display with a big handwritten sign in the window like it was the Hope diamond.

I never received a reply (forgot the word NOT in my original post!)... they did reply however when I asked them why some remixes were left out of the reissue of Zapp IV (this was their reply: "We were refused clearance on those tracks, we do not get al the tracks we want all the time, We wanted them but warners refused"

There are some a**holes over at Warner Brothers. That's the same thing BBR said when asked why wasn't the full concert on the recent Rufus and Chaka Live at the Savoy CD was reissued? WB would not give them clearance for the entire concert.

I have Vanity 6, Jill Jones, The Family & Apollonia 6, but never even SAW a copy of Mazarati on CD. Just vinyl & cassette.

I just assumed FUNKYNESS meant "late" 80s or early "90s". But if it wasn't a typo, then it's just wrong...

I've just sent a large email to big break records explaining how much we need this album re-issued and that the only way we can obtain this album is either: being scammed into buying bootlegs, or paying prices up to $500.

I also told them that I don't think Prince has the masters. I also told them that they would most likely get a large amount of revenue by re-issuing the CD and that I'm sure Warner Bros. Records would give them license for them to re-issue the album.

Please, everyone on here please please please keep begging them! Their email is:

I wish but in all seriousness there is just no demand for Prince and his music anymore. Its just not financially worth it for Prince, a record label or whoever to do it. It just is not going to sell I hate to say
