I agree with him that he needs to do it.
He is approaching 60 and opening himself to different options of entertaining is good.
I would love for Lisa Coleman to accompany him.

Honestly, this song/video are just epically bad. I'm surprised Prince's music wasn't even worse for the Welton factor. [Edited 1/26/16 19:19pm]

It's the second solo song by Josh that I hear (the first one was that music video, also with Hannah, he had on YT 2 or 3 years ago) and I really don't understand what he's trying to achieve. If he's trying to prove record companies that he can compose empty but radio friendly songs in order to get work and those songs act as demos, then OK, and I guess he's doing the right thing. But if it's really what he's doing, as in his art, then he needs to spend more time with Prince. I don't mean no disrespect, Josh is certainly a hard working musician and he got P's respect, and got to produce him which is, well, pretty massive. But those songs, they're empty shells to me, just too much like every other crap on mainstream radios, without an ounce of originality oàr personality in them. As for the baby I'm happy for them but it's none of my business so no comment, it's their private life A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

He will make a lot of money liscensing this song for couples expecting children. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

Really guys? This is a new low. One of you is throwing shade at the happy announcement of a pregnancy, and the other is mocking the lead up to the death of Prince's child. They really don't deserve this treatment. I mean Prince can be a jerk and you may not like Joshua's production, but you're basically mocking a child who lived a short & probably painful life and another who's not even born. I don't think it's too much to ask that we be a little more respectful than that.

I am already bored with it after listening to those two shows from the park. However, Prince will probably do it because he can just sit down and not use much energy, charge ridiculous prices and make alot of money for doing nothing. Sounds like a winner for Prince!!

I understand the outrage but as acid as it was... the way it was written, it was just hilarious. Sometimes humor outrights everything else I guess. I've already laughed at some good jokes people have cracked about the worst moments of my life, so I allow myself to laugh about that kind of dark humor when it's about someone else. But yeah, it was bloody bad taste. But hilarious. As for throwing a shade on a happy announcement, unless you're supersticious I don't see how this could throw any shade on anything. + not everyone has to consider childbirth good news: usually when my friends have children they end-up breaking-up within a year and hating each other, so forgive me if I have reservations about praising people when they announce they're gonna have a baby. This being said, I obviously wish Josh and Hannah the best things. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

I was using it http://www.urbandictionar...row+shade, specifically the first definition from March 2006. Anyway, I'm glad that you acknowledged the bad taste. I don't like being a wet towel, but I felt like I had to say something. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

I don't like being a wet towel, but I felt like I had to say something. It definitely was in bad taste, as many jokes are. I will also say its not a joke for everyone. I knew that typing it. Regardless, the chuckle it gave me as I thought it, I felt compelled to share with the like minded. When the monday morning quarterbacking gives a sight so utterly different than the intent of the play, the humor doesn't skip me.
