Ice Cream Castle album cover If I didn't know better, I'd definitely think The Time got their idea for the Ice Cream Castle cover from this photo. They just ramped up the cool factor. Coincidence?

Right. Because the only two incidences of bands putting their own picture on the cover is Ice Cream Castle and this. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

I don't see a relation, but many have copied Beatles album covers, especially Meet The Beatles & Abbey Road. And not just music acts. There's Rod Stewart & Bon Jovi covers that copied 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |
