Any word on Jesse Johnson back in the studio?

His last album was, & still is great!!!!

I read Morris Day is back working on a new Time album, & will it will be a TIME album, not Original 7.

He said whatever happens, happens, but he is recording a TIME album, no matter what.

Still would like to hear something new from Jesse Johnson..he rocks!!

I do know he is playing for D'Angelo at the moment...

really? Wow! I just hope that a certain somebody doesn't try to sabotage that project

I really like the Original7 album.I wish those guys could get together every few years and record a new album (with or without Jesse).

The Original 7ven is on a more or less permanent hiatus, but Day plans to record a new album, which he hopes to release in 2016, with the latest incarnation of The Time. If he does, it will be a Morris Day and The Time album, says Day

IMO, Condensate is great. It's just not "The Time". Lotta good stuff on there, though.

Also...'condensate' is a really bad name for a song and a bad name for an album.

Condensate is better than the last several Prince albums,imo.I disagree with the notion that these guys can't make a great album without Prince.

YOu said it - it was all off the mark: the worst band name ever, terrible album title - and it sounded like some ol school "bruhs" trying to get back in the club without looking like someone's father. A huge disappointment in that it is the original lineup and we all anticipated so much more.

Who's "we"? I liked it. It's my favorite album of this decade and the one I've played the most. I don't care about Prince participating.

This is exactly how I feel.I enjoy the CD tremendously.I don't miss Prince's participation at all.

Wow I still wear that CD out today. For me it is the best album yet by The Time. I wish they would just get together and make albums. No need to tour just make the music for the ones that care. I guess people have problems with it because Prince is not involved which is fine. People like different things but that album for me was GREAT and ranks up there at the top of any Prince or Prince related albums. I liked every song on it and its the only Time album I play regularily.

1. The writing just wasnt there throughout. There are some solid tracks like Strawberry Lane but a true Time album needs Prince input - history has proven this.

2. It sounded like some old dudes trying to fit in with youngsters - something that so many old school players attempt to do to get on the playlist in clubs with fans half their age. The concept of Trendin' is almost laughable for some guys who are almost 60. There is a fine line between updating your sound and trying to make a new trendy one.

3. Jam and Lewis production made it too polished and slick. It was genius for Janet, Alex Oneal, Morris Day, and even Human League but, here again, when it comes to the Time, you cant quite get there without in the studio.

Well........I like EVERYTHING on Condensate better than "Donald Trump (Black Version)"!!!!!
