Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell what the clip of Vanity at a pool hall is called? Cannot find anything on you tube, etc. I believe someone on this board had it as an avater. Thanks in advance

(I think) you're talking about the movie Action Jackson.. with Carl Weathers... there was a video by the Pointer Sisters called "He Turned Me Out".. which was on the soundtrack. Vanity is in that video and it was shot at a pool hall..

That's the only thing I can think of...

Horrible movie! The only reason why I own it on DVD is because I was a Vanity fanatic.

I think the movie is OK,but that Pointer Sisters theme song is terrible

"Contact" was the Pointer's last somewhat decent album. I was trying to convince myself to purchase the BBR reissue of "Serious Slammin" but the songs are REALLY horrible so I decided to skip it.

Yeah,I don't know what happened but after Contact,they just weren't able to find good songs to record.Their 1986 single "Goldmine" was a huge disappointment.Like you said,Contact is their last good album.

Vanity looks sooooo sexy in that video! 1988 was a good year for her.The movie Action Jackson was a huge box office hit,she had two great songs on the soundtrack,and she seemed more popular than ever.
