Cool Love by Sheena Easton Any love for Prince's composition "Cool Love" by Sheena Easton? It appears on her "The Lover In Me" album. I've always loved Prince's guitar work near the end of the track. Fun and funky!!!

Love this song I like the production, the vocals, the lyrics...it's one of the best tunes that Prince gave to somebody else.
pardon me boy,did you say that you were leaving? I hope this reason's better than the one you gave before
In fact, this song should have been a single! "101" (the other Prince contribution) was a single, but I think "Cool Love" had more potential,as a single.

I agree wholeheartedly. That in itself probably explains why it wasn't.

I like the "Cool Love" song, but really enjoyed the whole album because it had so much Prince production behind it. I had it on cassette originally and, a few years ago, sought it out in CD. Unfortunately, like many things of the era, it didn't hold up in terms of sound quality. On CD, the songs sounded tinny and a bit dated. I wish it would get a full-sound remastering - but am not sure it would be much of an improvement. "The Lover in Me" is my favorite from the album.

The Lover In Me is an excellent album.....one of the best pop/dance/R&B albums of the late 80s,imo.In addition to the two Prince tracks (which are superb),this album contains some of the strongest LA and Babyface tracks...."One Love","No Deposit,No Return",and of course, the sexy, catchy title track. This album is begging for a fresh remaster with bonus tracks.

Cool Love is decent, but 101 is my Sheena Easton jam. Wanna hear Princey's demo so bad . She's sells it though . A little off topic . For all time I am with you, you are with me.
