WOW...YOU GUYS got my pulse up mentioning the TIME.

one of the hottest live bands i ever seen. its funny they
didn't play on their first 2 albums (prince.andre,lisa
and dez on the first ONE and probably prince almost by himself on WHAT TIME is it) but they were BAD...!!!

It's time to watch "The World's Most Dangerous Band" at Music Midtown.

I'm hoping for Fishnet, Blondie, Databank, or Skillet to be added to the Setlist.

That Jerk Out video is ridiculously funny and it is the Time at its best. One of my all time favorite clips. Dig the cameos by Quincy Jones and Suger Ray Leonard!

this past Saturday afternoon, on BET no less..

I saw for the very 1st time..

the video for

"The Walk"!


It was cool, & it brought back so many good memories!

I know I say this a lot on the .org when I talk about the ORGINAL Time, but really..

they were SO tight, & SO funky..

even a good video like "The Walk doesn't do them justice!


It was funny, to see Morris & Jesse with all that "blush" on their faces.. Jesse & his trademark (at the time) PINK suit.. Jimmy Jam was much thinner then..!

& the choreography..

DAMN that Prince, for creating a monster & then breaking them up!

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!



But the funny thing was,, the video was shown as part of "Snoop Dog's Top 25 Countdown", where apparently, Snoop had a "forum" to show his top 25 favorite videos!

Did anybody else see this?


The video came in at "number 17".. & Snoop did a did a sort of "intro" to the video, saying how he no longer smokes weed or drinks alcohol.. so while he's getting some water in this fancy mug (?) he sort of makes a toast to Morris Day, pays him a few compliments.. & then
Snoop
says:
".. so here's the video for 'Cool'.."

& I'm thinking "COOL! I've never seen that video before!"

& it is, in fact

THE WALK!


Snoop apparently didn't bother to look at the video before it aired,
& WORSE

in their infinite wisdom & professionalism-
actually put "Cool" as the name of the song in the video i.d. caption!


HOW COULD BET MAKE SUCH A STUPID ERROR? ! ? ! ?

The Time is my all-time favorite band. The original Time that is. They are the tightest band I've ever seen...musically as well as choreography. No band has done it better. I miss these guys a ton. I still have an ax to grind with Prince for breaking them up. youngca, it's true that they didn't play on their first album, but that's all The Time on What Time Is It? Man, Jesse could kill a solo.
Does anyone have a video of them performing live from '81 or '82? Now that's a band that should have a live dvd out.

Yes there is video from that era (I have several). Unfortunately the quality is never what it could be. If they had an offical DVD out it would sell out immediately. The live from Vegas CD sells for >$40 on eBay just about every day.
