If the E Street Band can get inducted into the Hall of Fame for their work with Bruce, why not the Revolution? Watching Bruce induct the E Street Band into the Hall of Fame made me think, why can't the Revolution get inducted for their work with Prince? Before the haters get to typing, this doesn't take ANYTHING away from Prince or make the Revolution his "best band" ever, but it was this band that the legend of Prince was built. I really didn't want to post this on the Org because of all the haters with such narrowminds but Brownmark suggested we post it here, so why not?

It's probably a matter of longevity. Although Bruce separated from the E Street Band for ten years, they got back together and now have a combined 30 years'+ activity.

**This might even be a serious issue: if he won't say anything about their actual contribution, then the Hall of Fame-judges (or whatever) can't really judge, now can they? [Edited 11/15/14 9:39am] Stop the Prince Apologists ™

I would agree that longevity would have a lot to do with it. Not to mention that the revolution went through various incarnations as far as members. If we are talking Purple Rain era Revolution then you are talking about a band that was together for 2 years. IF you're talking about every member of the Revolution from 82-86, then your also voting Wally Safford and Greg Brooks into the hall of fame!

Because the E Street Band is a favorite of Jann Wenner, and the Revolution is not.

there is no "revolution", there is only Prince. there is also no flesh rebels new power generation madhouse. think about it in that respect. sad for the members of said groups, but there are just too many worthy musicians in this world. "Whatever skin we're in

Couldn't disagree more. The legend of Prince would not be what it has been without the people he's surrounded himself with. Sure, he's the reason they're there, but without them, sorry, he wouldn't have done what he's done. ESPECIALLY the folks that were in the trenches with him; Bobby, Andre, Fink, Gayle, Dez, Lisa, Mark, and Wendy. Sure he was the "star" of the Prince movie, but he sure knew how to pick his co-stars.
