Remaster Prince albums yourself...

Has anyone else on here heard of/used LANDR.com? It's a mastering site where you can upload a track and they will master/re-master it, then email it to you. I've used it on my WB-output and it works fantastically. The only downfall is: to use it FREE, they email you MP3s. If you want .wav files/uncompressed files, there's a charge. You can always convert the mp3s to .wavs if you have that capability.

When you do a mp3 conversion frequencies well down in the audio range are lost or attenuated, the effect of which is some level of distortion.

Those lost frequencies won't magically appear if you convert that mp3 into wav. You will have a perfect copy of your distorted mp3

Exactly, the difference is barely noticeable, particularly when you hear the difference in the before and after. It's simply another solution that i figure is better than moaning and groaning about the bad sound on the original CDs. In the end, it's all a matter of which you feel is worse for your own personal enjoyment of the music.
