Right?! His current trend seems to be mixed chicks with Afros nowadays lol. Kandace looks soo much like Andy (hair and tomboyish style wise). Although Andy has softer features and is gorgeous in person. I'm sure that was deliberate (on his part not that tons of chicks aren't rocking the natural curls nowadays). She can play the keys so I wish her all the success.

Well, at least he's consistent. All in all, we can say that most, but definitely not all of his female proteges are the "young, mixed, light skinned" type...I think of Nona Gaye, Shelby J., Tamar Davis, Liv Warfield and Rosie Gaines (if we can call her a protege).

Keep in mind she's not a "protege", she's signed to Blue Note/Capitol and Prince has nothing to do with her album. She was signed by producer Don Was, currently the head of Blue Note, so you can shelve the snark and venom always directed at the women in the Prince camp. Prince was just giving her props, that's all.
