I never minded Tony M's raps or style. It was just a time and space that P was in and I like that he gave some old local friends a chance. They were an OK fit in the NPG.

Tony M was a better rapper than Vanilla Ice. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Some of ya'll are so wrong! Funny... but wrong as hell.
1- I liked Tony's look and sound... those dancers put on a good show and they were fun. I also wonder why people say Tony M influenced Prince? I doubt it, he kept Kirky J on after and he played and could have very well influenced Prince just as much.
3- He may not still be in the music industry, but he did get to work with Prince, Tony M chased his dream and went from dancing in the shadows as a movie extra to helping Prince write music, even being featured on an album. Not bad in my book... another thing I am sure many would like to say they did...myself included.

Gett Off, My Name Is Prince, & Sexy MF would have NEVER been classics without Tony M on rap vocals.
