I have to say that I have not been excited about any of Prince's side projects in years. I was very skeptical of Andy Allo too, but her Superconductor album is very good. The songwriting is really nice and her voice is very sweet, like honey. She's no powerhouse singer, but for her type of songs, it fits really good. I still listen to her album. "Story of You and I" is perfection. In fact, I think that 3rdEye's song "Whitecaps" sounds like crap sang by Hannah but would have sounded perfect sang by Andy. It's more her style.

A group of us went to see her in NYC, thinking that we were going to get what we paid for- a $10. show. We were all when the show was over... She was very good!

I actually bought her first album after that show. I like it better because it makes "Superconductor" sound like a Prince album with her voice. Those songs are her own...

Liv does have a great voice. Her album is nice, jazzy/bluesy/rock. I don't know how else to describe it. But for some reason, when I listen to her, I just ache for her to sing a gospel song. A bring-down-the-house, holy-spirit-fire, gospel song. To my ears, that's where her voice belongs.

I agree! She blew us away at that show and it was very stripped down. No tricks or gimmicks. Still suprised by that performance.

To me LIv's CD is the best associated artist project is a looooong time.
