UK vocalist Sam Smith, who of course is blowing up right now, has a minor connection to Ingrid Chavez and Prince history, even though I'm sure he doesn't know it: Sam was born May 19, 1992. As most here know, that was the name of Ingrid's debut album (released in October 1991, because that makes sense).

Not much of a connection, granted, but I saw his birth date and my purple radar pinged. Also, I feel incredibly old right now.
