Nelly knowing in her mind that Mayte, her daugther was young. And attractive She knew Prince, she knew he liked pretty girls. Especially girls he can make a profit for. AND SHE WAS PRETTY?
Prince went head first for this deal. He invited her to the group wth rose-colored glass not knowing Mayte craed ways.
They started dating right after. She probably was dumb enough to drop some red flags./Or was probably smart enough to hide her selfish ways.
THEN
They got married and Lil was probably thinking that If she has a baby with this man that would bring them closer and that she would get some of the profit. BUT that backfired and she ended up losing the baby. I think she was going crazy before but after the passing of the child THATS when she losed he shit. She probably ran Prince crazy..SO CRAZY that Prince divorced her ass bought her a house in Spain so he could get away from him.
Prince tries to be tactful (AT LEAST SOMETIMES) BUT YOU CAN TELL by his voice in the interviews that he wasn't to into her. Yeah he wrote some music about them but its PRINCE he always writes romantic music.
They tried to pump they're marriage up to seem like it was glorious BUT REALLY it was a big fail.
Prince doesn't even TALK about her anymore..Hasn't since the 90's lol.

Sorry I went on that rant. Theres just alot I've seen out of Hollywood Exes that I didn't like. And it pissed me off that she would be so cruel.

If she doesn't want to be judged on that, then she should go away. I really respect celebrities who keep their private selves private. | |

I think what bothers me about Mayte is that, she is still stalking Prince and two, she isn't in the real world. Mayte is a very nice looking lady. She could have gotten her education and changed her career. She has taught belly dancing skills to celebrities, however, she always appears to take the easy way out. Hollywood Exes is scripted and now, what everyone was saying about her in the 90's is now true. I have read how she manipulated Prince to date her over Nona Gaye. Now, Prince is an adult and isn't innocent and have taken his lumps for his past behavior, however, he has his career and he is working his gifts. Mayte, on the other hand, is always trying to land a man that is well off to take care of her. Shoot, right now, I am two classes away from my second degree. As a woman myself, you need to buck up and realize that you need to be able to make your own way and not expect that a man will take care of you. I am so sorry for the pain that Prince and Mayte endured in the death of their baby, however, Prince has moved on and Mayte is looking for a crutch to justify her pain. I think nowadays, it's tough for celebs to maintain a private life, especially if they are pushed by their publicists, managers, etc. to have an online presence. I think this is also an issue for everyday people as well. I have seen ads for jobs asking for you to give them your links to your social media sites. I think there's just too much exposure, on top of the fact that most news outlets are on the prowl looking for new stories to report on 24/7. Add that to the fact that there are a lof o wannabes out there who just want to be famous, get on a reality show, etc. Fame is really cheap these days.... Trolls be gone! | |

I actually kinda agree with some things people are saying on here about Mayte. She certainly does have a screw loose, but don't we all? Nobody is perfect. But you know, I haven't met her so I can't judge her. Also- a lot of reality TV shows can be staged so sometimes maybe we arent really seeing the real Mayte?
I follow her on a few social networking sites and I like what she puts up, the stuff about her animal shelter etc. But I kinda feel a bit sick sometimes when she posts the whole pro-peta stuff with the vegan/vegetarian thing. Is she a even vegan/veggie though? Like I know that when she was with Prince she had to sneak out so she could go eat chicken? | |

Kelly and the other exes, I think Mayte's situation is not unique and certainly does not deserve special "sympathy" - all the ladies were young, young pretty things when they married those men, all of them should have known what they were signing up for but perhaps were naive or star struck, all of them had their drama, and several of them were way worse than Prince, it seems! | |
