Watching one of my favourite films Earth Girls Are Easy and Geena Davis is singing the Ground You Walked On. I really like this song and she sings it well, however Geena's version is not on the soundtrack album, it is Jill Jones singing the song.

I think Geena's is the better version so why was Jill on the soundtrack album?

No it's Jill singing the movie version as well...

No it's Jill singing the movie version as well...

You are wrong. If u look at the end credits of the film it clearly says 'Ground You Walked On' performed by Geena Davis. There is a distinct difference between the song u hear in the film and the one that is on the soundtrack album [ Jill Jones version] Hear both versions on a certain music channel [ I'm sure u know which one I'm referring to]

I am a fan of Jill's but her version seems really forced. Geena sounds more natural and sings the song with more oomph! Geena should have been on the soundtrack album instead of Jill.
