I'm glad I've had my fill with both this and the original hit & run..

I was just thinking the other day how Paris is one of Prince's favourite locations and how they haven't been introduced to 3rdeyegirl over there yet...

That puts that notion to rest. I do think it's a tad ambitious to anounce 2 Sunday shows the on the same week neutral

I'm sure it'll sell well though

Oh great, Prince is all the way in Paris on my b-day. I haven't seen him since halftime at the superbowl....I don't think he's ever coming here again. pout

Oh well, have fun Parisians.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

If anyone can spare a floor ticket at cost price for the evening show, let me know. I was in Antwerp (what's my name.....wow, travelled from Paris) and working in Belgium today so couldn't get on-line in time to get a ticket. It will be a shame 2 miss him in my adopted home town. #PurpleHelpPlease

LAST NIGHT WAS ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE:

PRINCE IS STILL AT THE TOP, FULL OF ENERGY, STILL VERY TALENTED, HIS VOICE IS CLEAR, HE HAS HIT THE SKY

HE GAVE PLACE TO HIS BAND, KNOWS HOW AND WHEN TO STEP BACK A LITTLE SO THAT THE AUDIENCE CAN APPRECIATE THE GIRLS PERFORMING

BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO

I went to both shows. For the first half if the first show, it kinda felt to me like he was distracted and going through the motions. Like he was playing the hits because people want to hear them bit he wasn't feeling it. And we weren't feeling it. He sounded totally good, but his fire wasn't there. This changed during Play that Funky Music (not sure why this was not listed on the set list for the first show?). His guitar solo during PTFM was phenomenal, literally gave me chills, and he was totally on and present for the rest of the show. really felt Nothing Compares 2 U. the second show was fantastic, great energy between him and the audience, did I think 4 encores and it felt like an ecstatic party.

Still I don't know if any concert by anyone ever can top 3rd Eye Girl in Montreux!

See y'all in Berlin! I still have 2 extra tix for that one, will sell at half price to a fellow org'er...

Le Zenith 2nd
Leeds
Birmingham 2nd night

Not sure how I would compare them to the Manchester Academy in Feb though

think about it

he is a musician and writes new stuff all the time but is being forced to play stuff that he wrote when he was not really even an adult yet

he probably hates it sometimes - that is my guess
