Jesse confirmed what was done on the "Ice Cream Castles" album, that included his tracks. The earlier albums he gave Prince credit 4. Only "The Stick"' used lyrics from an idea from Lisa. The rest was created from scratch by Prince with Morris voice overdubbed. Whether Morris played drums or Lisa played a bit keyboard doesn't matter. PRINCE created the BLUEPRINT!

Ok... by no means did you or I name EVERYTHING done by on those records by other people, not that it matters to you, because even the things you ADMIT other people did, in your view DOES NOT MATTER. Only your hero Prince. "I can't live up to the pictures that they paint".

Aside from the original run of The Time in the early 80's, we have two projects that we can study - "Pandemonium" and "Condensate". Funk was not an "in vogue" genre in either of the years these albums were released. Yet the former led to The Time's only ever #1 single (Jerk Out) whilst the latter fell apart just weeks after release. Why do you think one worked and one did not?

Here's some quotes from Jimmy Jam, from the "Pandemonium" era.

What do you expect?

The group released Condensate under another bandname, more than 20 years after there last release.

Pandemonium was linked to Prince and Jimmy Jam and Terry lewis (who were also very well known because of Janet Jackson back than).

People didn't even know Condensate was released, there was zero promotion (well 1 video I think, with a bunch of funky but old guys lol )...of course it didn't go as well as Pandemonium! Duh!

I loved Condensate. I was blown away at how great the production of the songs were, however I believe the CD fell flat because the group did not tour. Simple as that.

You know when Wonder and I agree completely without question or quid quo pro, its gotta be dead on.

If they had toured, it would have been a successful tour in the scope of their popularity. Would they be outselling Lady Gaga? No. Could they have done a club tour that would have satisfied their core audience? Yes. You can't really expect to sell records in an era where nobody buys records. That said, I boght one and I was looking forward to a tour from them. I know I am not alone in this. Condensate is a good record. If you don't like it; that's you. I know I did. I still play them DAILY. I'm glad they made the record and I think a lot of others are as well.

Yep, same here, love the album and played it a lot. I think as a whole it is a better album than Pandemoniom, although nothing on Condensate is coming close to Jerk Out and Chocolate.

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
