LoveSexy band or 90-95 NPG IMHO the LoveSexy Band is the Ultimate Prince Band but I love the NPG 90-95 band so who is the better band

The LoveSexy band could play any type of music and was visually a stunning band particular with Sheila E behind the drumkit and Cat providing engaging dance moves

LoveSexy Band. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

Lovesexy. Got a soft spot for Sonny and Rosie tho. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

I wish somehow he created some kind of extended band, bringing in Sheila E w/Bobby Z, Cat, Mico & Wendy . I don't think the band overall had the creative connection he had with Prince. I don't think any of the ladies had the songwriting/production connection Prince had with Lisa Coleman, and Wendy and will ad Susannah's inspiration as well . But out of the Lovesexy band and the NPG 90-95 mine is the Lovesexy band. Was heartbroken when the Batman era came around and there was no Sheila E. Cat or Boni

I am comparing the band when Cat was the dancer with the LoveSexy band and when Mayte was the dancer in the NPG.....which band was more exciting or were more technically proficient musicians

Both were great in their own right. How do you compare Play In the Sunshine to Days of Wild?

I agree its like comparing "Housequake" live to "Shh" live

technically proficient in a Prince band for some reason = boring
heart, style, passion, focus on Prince = exciting

Awesome pictures of both bands...i can't help but remember the LoveSexy band performing the Charlie Parker song "Now is the Time" in the Sign O' Times movie with each member playing a solo that put them over the top for me
