Her performance with Prince Saturday night was pretty impromptu, but kudos to Prince for running her down and getting her up there with him. That's a partnership I'd like to see more of!

Tamar is working on another CD, and was in NYC working on a play. Hopefully there will be more purple music in her future!

i think one of the things i love best about prince is that he gives other musicans and artists a chance to shine. he's given a lot of folks a shot at fame and fortune. bless him

Yes, what a surprise! She looks great. Still has a very, nice voice. Larry Graham kicked some azz on that bass. He is one badazz bass player, and I'm glad somebody is keeping Sly's music alive, and that 'funk' sound you just don't hear anymore. So missing from music today. Still not sure if that was Donna, from 3rdeyegirl passing through the audience.

Anyway, back to Larry, I haven't seen him perform since 2007 at the Rio in Vegas, but this was a much longer show. The unbelievable love the NYC crowd showed him tonight, amazed me. The crowd chanting Larry's name all night, and the place was packed. I love that funk sound his group has. So missing from today's music, Biscuit, the female singer, iis like the new Tina Marie to me. Fantastic, soulful voice. I appreciate Larry's musicianship even more now.

That + Margie Cox has never been named Ta Mara by anyone except Jesse Johnson anyway! She went back to using her real name the minute TM&TS's contract was terminated, i.e. 1989.
