I'm waiting to long to try and write these so its probably not going to be as long or detailed as usual.

I went and saw Morris Day and the Time at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Crawfish Music Festival In Biloxi, Ms on April 28, 2013. This was my first show of the year, but my 63rd overall.

This was a solo trip. I kept waffling on whether I was going to stay overnight or not. I couldn't get a room where the band was staying, so I decided to just come back after the show since it was only 2 hours away. I made the trip on a rainy day and aside from that, the drive was uneventful. I got to the hotel and wandered around since I had a few hours to kill. It turns out the band switched hotels at the last minute and on top of that, they moved up the show because of the threat of rain and they were leaving for the show right now. I was in a panic. Luckily, one member of the band was still staying at the hotel and he was C O O L enough to let me ride with him to the show.

Hung out backstage at the coliseum. Caught up with the rest of the band and just chilled till show time. The actual gig was on an outdoor stage in the parking lot. Well on to the show.

The band went on stage as the DAT Intro was playing. They started playing the intro and Morris and Sly came on last. I went on stage next and took a spot in the back as the show began. I like the Into, it reminds me of the old days where they opened with all that guitar and go into Get it up, but on the flip side I miss the Skillet. The show was about 80 minutes long and alot of fun. The band was hitting on all cylinders. My favorite part was the rock of Blondie and my Drawers. Tori was posing for me. Too Cool. Of course 777-9311 was another one. That is the perfect Time song showcasing all aspects of the band. The Keys, The Bass line, Tori ripping it up and of course my man Jellybean laying down the drums. Monte has an extended keyboard solo after Sometimes I get Lonely befire going into Gigolos. They tried to get me on stage for The Bird, but that wasn't happening tonight. The show closed with Jungle Love.

The fellas had a catered meal after the show so we hung out and ate. I went back to the first hotel since that is where my car was. Bean came on over and we hung out in the bar and had a few drinks and watched an NBA playoff game. Jellybean is always a blast to hang out with and this night was no exception. They finally kicked us out of the bar and I made the drive home in the rain(don't worry, I only drank Coke as my stomach can no longer handle alcohol). Big props to the fellas for their continued hospitality and of course an amazing show. I hope to catch #64 in the near future
