Sheena Easton, popular singer of the 1980s,
will be the headlining act for Saturday, July 26.
The summer event runs July 17-26.



Sheena Easton's career has spanned the last 23 years.

Born in Scotland in 1959, Easton's early musical influences were Motown, Barbra Streisand, rock and 70s soul. She attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama on scholarship from 1975 to 1979.

In 1981, Easton was chosen to sing the title song, "For Your Eyes Only," for a James Bond movie. She is the only person to be shown while singing for a Bond movie. She paired with Kenny Rogers in 1983 to record "We've Got Tonight."

Easton may be best known for performing with Prince in the late 1980s.

"Sheena is still very popular with a heavy performing schedule. We are fortunate to have her available to be with us," Sheldon said. "She is currently performing in Las Vegas, where I saw her perform just recently. She is very talented and performs a variety of music."

Easton's acting credits include a five-episode appearance as Sonny Crockett's wife on "Miami Vice," and as guest star on "The Highlander," "Ghost Stories," "Brisco County," and "Tech Wars." She has performed on Broadway in "Man of La Mancha," and in "Grease" as Rizzo.

Easton has also done animation voice-overs including Disney's "Gargoyles," and the voice of Sasha in "All Dogs Go to Heaven II."

Easton has been a major act in Las Vegas for the past decade. She co-starred with David Cassidy in a show that ran for one year. In 2001, she appeared in her own show at the Las Vegas Hilton, which continues to be a success.
