I bought Mayte's CD some weeks ago, but it's still in my waiting list. What's your opinion about it? The 1993-95 Prince period is fascinating, so I guess it must have some interesting songs... Although Carmen Electra's album is also from that period, so... | |

I like it, but then Mayte's album has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. It is what it is, 12 sugar coated not very good Prince songs which are then sung badly by his then wife. What more could you want?

Ain't No Place Like U is fantastic. Wish he would've kept this for himself. Though the "industrial" sounds at the end are mixed a little too loud. So great.
He must've liked some of it, because he reused the drums for "Slave" and the guitar riff for "When U Love Somebody"! |
