German/Austrian/Swiss TV station 3Sat is going to broadcast a documentary on Funk music next Saturday.

I saw Eric Leeds in the trailer and , if I recall correctly, also Maceo Parker, though I´m not 100% sure about the latter. It will probably be online, too, for those who can´t watch 3Sat.

It will also feature Cynthia Johnson, most of the Twin Cities early funk scene and Stokely Williams.

Too bad the Purple One isn´t in it.

Edit: It DOES mention Prince ! Don´t know to what extent he was involved though.

I´ll provide a link after the broadcast. They usually stream most of their documentaries online after broadcasting them.

OK. I have a link 2 the whole broadcast (today on 3sat 20.15 - 21.15). It's called 'Funky town' - about twin Cities St. Paul and Minesota.

And Prince is mentioned (with also a clip for 'Rock and roll love affair')
