The only musician out there who compares to P., Comments?

I'm a Lenny fan since the "blue contacts" (did I just admit that) ...well anyway what I liked at first was the way he looked. The guitar playing was not all of that to me, in fact I thought all he did was strum the damn thing! :O I've never saw him live and would love to get the chance but my respect for him as a musician has totally changed my shallow admiration. I must say Lenny has come a long way as a musician and as a songwriter. "It Ain't Over" is a sure win head bop "R U Gonna Go My Way" is just sick & "5" was just excellent all around. Many of my friends that would never ever dream of buying a Lenny cd...purchased that one! I have a whole lot of respect for Lenny because he's original, he has that no nonsense type of attitude and always seems to be grounded. The fact that he's fine as hell is a plus too...I have his picture book that was released in '01 and there is no doubt the the camera just loves him.

When the Rave concert came on and Lenny was up there with Prince I thought I would loose my mind. I thought that they would never perform together. I remember the media buzz around Lenny trying to compare him to Prince. The media is terrible with that...unlike Terrence Trent who tried a lil too hard...Lenny stuck to his guns and kept pushing the envelope, he really didn't sway from what he really wanted to do. If you are a fan of his then you know this by listening to his music thru out the years. I have all the cd's and I must say it has been a pleasure listening to him grow musically along with Prince. ...Hats off to these 2 fine ass men

Lenny wrote an amazing song called SUPER SOUL FIGHTER COMIN"

I Like some of His Stuff but more often than Not He is a Poser&more like a Good TV Movie Version of Prince more than anything else IMHO.He is just AIGHT To Me IMHO.Average as can be on so many levels.He wears His Influences outwardly,inwardly&everything else in between while cool for your first few years seems like a Walking Karoke Machine after 10 plus Years IMHO.
