Thanks for the tip!

I get the Ticketmaster alerts, but these dates aren't listed at TM.

This is sold thru the Bluenote site.. Most clubs in town sell directly.

http://www.bluenote.net/newyork/index.shtml

For alerts on upcoming gigs try: http://www.songkick.com/

You can list all the artists you are interested in and it will alert you of an upcoming event.

Regardless of who is selling the tickets..

(Shows will apear on this site before they are listed in ticketmaster)

Other "associated artists" coming to town..

Candy Dulfer (BB Kings)

Mavis Staples Lincoln Center

George Clinton (BB Kings)

Right on.

I get a bunch of different alerts, but I don't have that one... Thanks! biggrin

I was tempted to go to see Candy Dulfer, but I have to work on the 15th. I saw it on the board when I was at BBK for the Jimi Hendrix 70th Birthday tribute.

George Clinton is going to be at NJPAC in Newark next Saturday, with Morris Day and the Time opening for him... I have to work, too.

Wow, with the Time opening? That's pretty cool. I caught George's gig twice at BB Kings last year. They do a pretty slammin' show these days. Usually like to catch the city shows. I'm going to Candy's, but the George/Time ticket looks good. Drag you have to work. I'm tied up too.

Well, George is coming back to BBKings so you may get another shot.

The Maceo show will be interesting. Never seen him in such a small venue doing the 2 set shows.

If you haven't been, the Blue Note is pretty much sit down only. Very limited standing room at the bar. Got to get there an hour early to get a seat. Even if you reserve a table. Should be great. I love Maceo!
